About with UEH

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is one of seven higher education institutions in Vietnam operating under the multidisciplinary model. With the mission of enhancing knowledge, training high-quality human resources, achieving global integration and transfer, pioneering innovation, and serving the community, UEH aims to become a multidisciplinary university with academic reputation and sustainability in the Asian region by 2030.

At UEH, the Institute of Innovation (UEH Institute of Innovation) serves as a science and technology unit conducting innovative research in the fields of economics and management. It was launched in 2019 based on the collaboration between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore Management University, Government’s Private Sector Development Research Board. Over the past five years, UII has established its position and become the science and technology center of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in science, technology, and innovation. It conducts training and scientific research activities, forms an entrepreneurial ecosystem, connects investor networks, and supports businesses and organizations. UII also provides consultancy and collaborates on scientific and technological services to promote innovation and transfer research into practical applications.

The Institute of Innovation is honored to be recognized as one of the Top 3 organizations contributing to the innovative startup ecosystem in Ho Chi Minh City (I-Star Award 2021) and one of the Top 10 best incubation organizations in Asia (AsiaStar 10x10 Launchpad 2022). By 2030, our institution will become the REGIONAL INNOVATION HUB, fostering a dynamic innovative ecosystem that drives societal impact through comprehensive training and research programs, an entrepreneurial pathway aspiring entrepreneurs from ideation to successful ventures, and robust triple helix linkages catalyzing the innovations that address the real-world challenges.
