ABOUT UII
Overview
Founded in 2019 through a strategic partnership between UEH and Singapore Management University (SMU), the UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) was established as UEH's first startup incubator, adopting an international operating model inspired by SMU-Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SMU-IIE). Building on this foundation, UII has evolved into an integrated innovation platform that strengthens academic education, advances applied research in technology and innovation, and supports startup incubation. It serves as a key connector between academia, industry and public sector within UEH's innovation ecosystem.
Training & Education
UII advances interdisciplinary education in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills, equipping students with future-ready competencies and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Incubation Program
Through the Innovation pathway from ideation and sandbox experimentation to incubation and scale-up, UII supports early-stage startups, fostering sustainable business models.
Innovation Lab
UII promotes practice-oriented research, focusing on technology, innovation management, and digital entrepreneurship, translating research into practical solutions.
