UII Innovation Talk: “Blockchain & Crypto Assets” under the UEH Glo-cal Education Orientation
On the morning of March 5th, 2026, the UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) organized the UII Innovation Talk for K49 FinTech students on the topic “Blockchain & Crypto Assets.” The program was designed to help students access practical perspectives and update themselves on technological trends that are strongly impacting the financial sector. In the context of global digital transformation, Blockchain and Crypto are no longer just emerging trends but are becoming vital foundations shaping the modern banking and financial ecosystem.
Opening the program, Mr. Cris D Tran brought many practical insights into the development of Blockchain and Crypto within the financial ecosystem. Drawing from his experience in the tech field, he shared the cross-disciplinary applications of these technologies, particularly the integrated financial ecosystem model that combines traditional banking, asset management, and Web3 solutions (Crypto 5.0). In addition to highlighting the technology’s potential to optimize operations and create new financial models, his presentation also addressed the challenges financial institutions face when transitioning into a digital environment.
Following the program, Ms. Alice Truong shared the development trends of the Crypto market as well as career opportunities for students in the FinTech sector. Through the session “UII Career Acceleration Program: FinTech Professional Development Pathway,” she introduced career development roadmaps and suggested key competencies and skills that FinTech students need to prepare to adapt and thrive in this volatile industry.
Beyond knowledge sharing, the session created an open space for dialogue between the speakers and students. Many practical questions were raised regarding how to apply classroom knowledge to real-world FinTech issues. Through specific examples from professional experience, the speakers helped students better understand the market context while opening up new perspectives to develop innovative thinking and a clearer career orientation for the future.
