UEH 50 Years: A more than decade of autonomy opening the door…
Throughout the 50-year journey of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), university autonomy has been an important milestone, enabling the University to take greater initiative in governance, academic affairs, organizational structure, human resources, and resource allocation. From piloting financial autonomy in 2008, expanding the autonomy mechanism in 2014, and gradually strengthening it in line with the Law on Higher Education, UEH has invested in people, research, facilities, and, in particular, internationalization. The internal capacity accumulated through this process has paved the way for major transformations: from a specialized university to a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University, moving toward a 4.0 University and becoming an innovation hub contributing to the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the country.
