UII ACADEMIC SEMINAR & CAREER ACCELERATION PROGRAM 2025
In order to create opportunities for students majoring in Financial Technology (FinTech), as well as those interested in the field of financial technology, to access in-depth academic knowledge connected with practical career orientation, the Institute of Innovation (UII) introduces the UII Academic Seminar & Career Acceleration Program 2025 with the participation of Dr. David Gabauer, a researcher specializing in Finance and FinTech.
The program is designed for students who wish to strengthen their foundation in time-series econometrics for applications in financial analysis and forecasting, while also broadening their perspective on the gap between traditional finance and technology in a context where FinTech, artificial intelligence, and big data are rapidly evolving. In addition, this program offers learners an opportunity to gain clearer direction for their career path in the field of finance and technology.
Speaker
Dr. David Gabauer is currently a Senior Lecturer in Finance and FinTech at Lincoln University, New Zealand. His research focuses on the interconnections among economic indicators, assets, and financial markets, as well as highly applicable econometric methods. He has published numerous studies in prestigious international academic journals, with notable contributions in the areas of asset pricing, cryptocurrencies, energy economics, real estate, and financial econometrics.
