🔥 International Learning Experience Program SMU-X Overseas – A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR UEH STUDENTS TO EXPERIENCE AN INNOVATIVE AND GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT 🔥

With the goal of creating a dynamic and internationally oriented learning environment specifically for UEH students, fostering comprehensive skill development and preparing students to become global citizens, UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) and Singapore Management University (SMU) are jointly organizing the SMU-X Overseas Program. Through this program, UEH students will engage in academic learning, enhance their knowledge and working skills, and share their perspectives as young Vietnamese with students from SMU in diverse fields such as economics, technology, and innovation.

As part of the program, students will benefit from the expertise of Ms. Vivien Koh, from Singapore Management University, through the course Digital Business Transformation, which offers an engaging and interactive learning experience. In addition to in-depth knowledge sessions, participating students will collaborate on a business project to solve real-world problems faced by a Singaporean company looking to expand into the Vietnamese market. The project will culminate in a presentation before a panel of SMU and UEH faculty, as well as business representatives.

📍 Course Overview

The course Digital Business Transformation provides an in-depth understanding of the role of innovation, digital marketing, and other technologies in helping Southeast Asian businesses, particularly startups, transform their strategies and grow. This course aims to improve competitiveness and operational efficiency in the digital era. It also helps students hone their problem-solving skills and prepares them to tackle complex, multicultural issues in the region.

📍 Program Evaluation for UEH Students:

Students must demonstrate professionalism, active participation, and full attendance in all sessions, group activities, and assigned tasks. Evaluation will be based on:

• Process scores: 40%

• Teamwork scores: 20%

• Final presentation: 40%

Upon successful completion, UEH students will receive:

• A certificate from Singapore Management University (SMU) under the SMU-XO program.

• Academic credit toward their corresponding UEH course, with the following grade conversion:

• Total score of 5-6: 0.25 bonus points

• Total score of 6-8: 0.5 bonus points

• Total score of 8-10: 1 bonus point

📍 Participant Criteria and Expected Numbers:

• SMU students: 25 undergraduate students in related fields (academic year 2023-2024, term 2, from January to May 2024)

• UEH students: 10-15 undergraduate students in related fields from the College of Technology and Design, with open enrollment to other UEH students.
