Impressive Results from the UII Incubation Program Cohort 2/2023

Over two months since the open of application, the UII Incubation Program Cohort 2/2023 has received significant interest from innovative startups. The recruitment attracted over 8,000 views and 38 applications.

Application Process and Selection

In the recent recruitment round, nearly 40 applications were submitted to UII Startup Incubator from prominent startups across the country. Notably, the program attracted interest from several high-achieving projects in startup competitions, such as ezCareMe, VIZION (Startup Việt 2022), and The PolaFoam (UNETI Startup Competition). VECA, a tech-based recycling app and  contestant of Shark Tank, was also among the participants.

Interview Round

After the application and evaluation phase, 18 promising startups were invited for interviews. This round provided the UII Startup Incubator with an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the projects, the founding teams, and to assess the suitability of each project based on the criteria of the Incubation Program.

Each participating startup brought its own unique story, reflecting the dedication and passion of its founders. This meeting served as a crucial step for UII Startup Incubator to further assess and select the most outstanding startups for the Incubation program.

Official Members of Incubation Program Cohort 2/2023

Based on the interview evaluations, UII Startup Incubator selected eight startups that best fit the Incubation Program Cohort 2/2023. These include: VECA, Dayladau, Felix Zone Co. Ltd – Talents Casting Agency, TOROTIC, W5G, ezCareMe, VIZION, and 10x Language Learning Efficiency (Chinese and Japanese).

These projects, all technology-driven and at the appropriate stage for the program, have distinct market positioning, solutions, and clear competitive advantages. UII Startup Incubator believes that through the Incubation Program, these startups will receive the practical support to advance further in their entrepreneurial journey.

Incubation Program Cohort 2/2023 – Orientation Day

The UII Incubation Program Cohort 2/2023 officially kicked off with Orientation Day on December 9th, welcoming the newly selected startups. During this first meeting, the startups had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of UII and the Incubation Program. They also received valuable insights into the key stages of a startup’s development and learned how to apply economic principles to measure entrepreneurial progress in the workshop "Startup Stages & Unit Economics."

In the coming weeks, the startups will participate in the Essential Training Program - a series of workshops providing knowledge on innovative entrepreneurship. This program consists of eight sessions delivered by experienced experts and entrepreneurs across various fields, aimed at helping startups navigate and achieve critical business objectives.
