INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RESILIENCE BY TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN: TOWARDS SOLUTIONS FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Following the success of the first International Conference on Resilience by Technology and Design (RTD 2022) with the theme "Smart Living", University of Economics  Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continues to accompany prestigious universities around the world such as Italy, Australia, Korea, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, etc. to organize the second International Conference on Resilience by Technology and Design (RTD 2024).

The International Conference on RTD 2024 is organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and the Polytechnic University of Milan, the University of Trieste (Italy), Seoul National University, Kwangwoon University, Handong Global University (South Korea), the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne (Australia), Singapore University of Technology and Design (Singapore), KentState University (USA), National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Saint Joseph University (Macau), Sun Yat-sen University (China), along with prestigious scientific journals such as Atlantis Press, JABES, and Academy of Management Journal (AMJ). The event is also honored to receive sponsorship from Vietcombank and the UEH Giving community.

The second International Conference on Resilience by Technology and Design (RTD 2024) will consist of two main events:

• The conference in Ho Chi Minh City with the main theme "Fostering Sustainability" will take place from July 15 to 16, 2024, and is chaired by the UEH College of Technology and Design.

• The conference at UEH - Vinh Long Campus with the sub-theme "For a More Sustainable Mekong Delta" will take place on July 17-18, 2024, co-organized by the UEH College of Technology and Design and UEH - Vinh Long Campus.

With the aim of creating a positive and open environment for discussing solutions applying technology and design for a sustainable future, the RTD 2024 International Conference will include panel discussions and presentations, as well as other important activities such as cooperation exchanges, publication of scientific reports and research results from both national and international. In addition, the exhibition of research works, new products, applications, and interactive experiences arranged right at the event space promise to contribute to the vibrant and creative atmosphere of the event.

This important event brings together a large number of leading leaders, professors, scholars, and prestigious experts with influence in the fields of technology, design, art, management, and planning from Vietnam and many countries around the world such as Italy, Australia, South Korea, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan... Speakers will discuss topics with high scientific value, practicality, and applicability such as the role of advanced technology, innovative design methods, and comprehensive data analysis in creating solutions towards sustainable action and a better quality of life for people. Sustainable development in technology and design not only improves the quality of life but also drives economic and social processes to take place faster and more effectively. The conference is also a place for businesses, experts, guests, and attendees to connect with an academic community that shares a common interest in sustainable development in technology and design, in order to shape a better world.

In addition, RTD 2024 will organize a field trip to the Mekong Delta. This program is designed to provide experts, speakers, lecturers, students, and participants with the opportunity to observe and to experience one of Vietnam’s key regions. The tour will not only help them better understand the challenges and opportunities in sustainable development but also facilitate exchanges and connections with the local community.
