Gain hands-on experience in problem solving through courses like Design Thinking, where students tackle real-world challenges creatively. UEH is one of the few universities worldwide and the first in Vietnam to pioneer the integration of Design Thinking into its undergraduate curriculum. The Design Thinking module is overseen by UII, with direct advisory and training from expert Christopher Han, PhD from Stanford University (USA).

With the utilization of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), touch technology, and 3D, UEH exemplifies the research and commercialization of technological products within a university setting, catalyzing societal impact. Projects such as the UEH Virtual Campus Tour, GrandAR Piano, and UEH Wayfinding showcase innovative applications of technology, fostering engagement and enhancing user experiences. Unlike other programs, UII facilitates internships starting from the third year, enabling students to gain early exposure to the corporate environment. This early interaction with businesses helps build confidence and practical skills, setting a strong foundation for future careers.

Project-based learning (PBL) is a student-centered teaching approach in which students are directly involved in implementing real-life projects throughout the learning process. Via PBL, students have the opportunity to immediately apply the knowledge they have learned into real cases, improve their skills of creative thinking, problem-solving and time-management, as well as strengthen their teamwork skill.
