UII INCUBATION PROGRAM – COHORT 1/2024

UII Incubation Program is designed for startups in the process of market access and validation, helping them address operational challenges, prepare for market entry, and aim for sustainable growth. The program follows high international standards and is offered completely free of charge for startups in market access and validation. Over the past five years, UII has supported more than 120 startups across various fields, and within the last 12 months alone, three startups from UII successfully raised a total of 3.5 billion VND in funding.

Why Should Startups Join the UII Incubation Program?

• Customized Support: Besides training on entrepreneurship skills, each startup will receive personalized support throughout the six-month incubation period. This assistance is designed to address the specific challenges of each startup through regular communication and progress tracking between UII and the startup (via Growth Sessions).

• Ecosystem Connectivity: UII Incubation Program offers startups opportunities to connect with key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem, including experts, mentors, potential partners and clients, high-quality human resources, investment funds, and other support organizations.

• Completely Free: The program is entirely free, allowing startups to focus on developing their projects without financial burden. Additionally, startups are provided with access to a modern, fully equipped co-working space, creating a professional work environment and inspiring creativity throughout the incubation process.

UII Incubation Program will feature the following key activities:

• Essential Training Program: A series of workshops designed to equip participating startups with essential entrepreneurial knowledge. These sessions take place over the first two weeks (on Saturdays and Sundays) and include detailed resources to help startups analyze and improve their operations.

• Growth Sessions: Regular consulting sessions will help startups overcome operational challenges and achieve sustainable, accelerated growth.

• Expert Sessions: Events, workshops, and discussions on important topics for startup projects and companies with experts from various fields.

• Office Hours: Direct consulting sessions with leading industry experts to support startups in developing strategies and solving core problems.

• Networking events organized by the UII Startup Incubator bring together entrepreneurs, top experts in various fields, investors, and investment funds to create potential networking and collaboration opportunities.

Eligibility for the Program:

• Startups with a minimum viable product (MVP) or those in the process of finalizing their MVP with demonstrated progress.

• Startups with a market entry strategy and actively working on validating Product/Market Fit.

• In addition to being at the appropriate stage of development, startups should demonstrate innovation and the use of technology to address pressing market needs.

Assessment Criteria:

• Founding Team:

• Possesses relevant skills and expertise, including technical, business, and market-specific knowledge.

• Demonstrates leadership, commitment, and a serious attitude towards the proposed business idea.

• Has a long-term vision and good strategic thinking, minimizing short-term risks.

• Shows flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions.

• Shows commitment and dedication to the long-term development of the project.

• Product/Service and Business Model:

• High feasibility, addressing specific user needs and aligned with market demands.

• Demonstrates uniqueness, innovation, and effective use of technology.

• Has a clear and well-defined development strategy.

• Startups with a minimum viable product (MVP) or in the process of finalizing their MVP with demonstrated progress.

• Sustainability of the product/service and its potential to positively impact society.
