UII SIP & SHARE 2025 #2 – Building and Scaling a Winning Startup Team

Continuing the success of the first session, UII SIP & SHARE 2025 #2 provided a welcoming space for founders, investors, and members of the startup community to discuss the theme: “Building and Scaling a Winning Startup Team.”

The event focused on key elements essential to building a strong startup team, including finding the right co-founders, effectively applying ESOP, developing team culture, and managing Cap Tables. These topics were explored through real stories and lessons shared by experienced speakers from the innovation and startup ecosystem.

Speakers

• Khiem Tran, Country Director at Expara Vietnam, provided an investor’s perspective on the importance of team structure and transparent equity allocation, emphasizing that many startups fail not due to product or market issues but because of internal conflicts.

• Ngan Nguyen, Founder & CEO of Holo Speak, shared her experiences in recruiting and retaining the right talent for sustainable growth.

• Le Van, Founder & CEO of GemSocial, reflected on his more than 10-year journey of working alongside his original team members from the early startup phase to the company’s growth stage.
