The Institute of Innovation (UEH Institute of Innovation) serves as a science and technology unit conducting innovative research in the fields of economics and management. It was launched in 2019 based on the collaboration between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore Management University, Government’s Private Sector Development Research Board. Over the past five years, UII has established its position and become the science and technology center of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in science, technology, and innovation. It conducts training and scientific research activities, forms an entrepreneurial ecosystem, connects investor networks, and supports businesses and organizations. UII also provides consultancy and collaborates on scientific and technological services to promote innovation and transfer research into practical applications.
The Institute of Innovation is honored to be recognized as one of the Top 3 organizations contributing to the innovative startup ecosystem in Ho Chi Minh City (I-Star Award 2021) and one of the Top 10 best incubation organizations in Asia (AsiaStar 10x10 Launchpad 2022). By 2030, our institution will become the REGIONAL INNOVATION HUB, fostering a dynamic innovative ecosystem that drives societal impact through comprehensive training and research programs, an entrepreneurial pathway aspiring entrepreneurs from ideation to successful ventures, and robust triple helix linkages catalyzing the innovations that address the real-world challenges.

Combined bachelor program
Looking for an extra challenge? Or can't you choose between the bachelor's programs Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics and Computer Science and Engineering? Then you can choose to follow a combined program at the TU/e. The following combination is possible:
- Double bachelor program Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics or
- Double bachelor program Computer Science and Engineering and Apllied Mathematics
In a combined program, the most important subjects of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and Engineering, or Applied Mathematics and Applied Physics, are retained. There is a considerable overlap between the programs. You can therefore obtain 2 diplomas with extra credits (about 25% heavier program).
ATTENTION
If you opt for a combined bachelor you have to apply for both studies in Studielink!
Study association GEWIS
The study association represent the interests of the students at the department of Mathematics & Computer Science. It tries to let the students view their field of study from a different angle. It achieves this by means of excursions, lectures and symposia and by organizing a study trip. On the other hand, the association also organises sports tournaments, parties, a weekly drink, weekends and other forms of leisure activities to stimulate the relation between the members themselves.
