With the aim of fostering knowledge exchange, strengthening connections, and keeping the startup community up to date with emerging trends, UII Startup Incubator successfully organized UII SIP & SHARE #3 on July 31, under the theme “AI-Powered Customer Insight for Growth.” The event brought together startups from the UII Startup Community alongside two experienced speakers in the field of artificial intelligence, providing practical perspectives on how AI is reshaping the way startups approach, analyze, and understand customer insights to build competitive advantages.

The program commenced with a Warm-up Discussion, where participating startups shared their real-world experiences in applying AI to their business operations. From optimizing workflows and supporting market research to analyzing customer behavior, generating content, and enhancing customer engagement, each startup contributed valuable insights and lessons learned from its own journey. The open and interactive atmosphere established a strong foundation for the in-depth discussions that followed.

The event continued with the keynote session, “How Deep Should Startup Go with AI,” featuring Ms. Tình Võ and Mr. Phạm Lê Thắng. Drawing upon practical business cases and implementation experience, the speakers explored how startups can leverage AI effectively, ranging from developing customer data systems and selecting AI solutions appropriate to different stages of business growth to integrating AI into marketing and customer engagement strategies. They also emphasized that maximizing AI’s value requires startups to adopt implementation strategies aligned with their available resources and business objectives while maintaining a balance between AI-driven analytics and human judgment, creativity, and experience.

One of the highlights of the event was the Fishbowl Conversation, an interactive discussion format that enabled participants to engage directly with the speakers and fellow startups through questions, diverse perspectives, and real-world business challenges. Topics ranged from customer data utilization and AI-powered process optimization to selecting suitable AI platforms for different stages of startup development and fostering an AI-enabled organizational culture.
Unlike conventional question-and-answer sessions, the Fishbowl Conversation encouraged active participation from all attendees, transforming startups from passive listeners into active contributors of knowledge and experience. This multidirectional exchange generated meaningful discussions and provided participants with practical approaches to addressing the challenges they encounter in their entrepreneurial journeys. The discussion also reflected the spirit of Pay it Forward, a core value consistently promoted by UII Startup Incubator. Every insight shared and every lesson exchanged contributed to cultivating an open learning environment where startups support one another’s growth rather than focusing solely on individual success. This collaborative spirit serves as a foundation for building a more connected, resilient, and supportive startup community.

The program concluded with a Networking & Bonding session, providing participants with opportunities to connect further with the guest speakers and fellow startups. These conversations not only created possibilities for future collaboration among projects but also strengthened the network for knowledge sharing, resource exchange, and long-term partnership within the UII startup ecosystem.

Guided by its commitment to knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation, UII Startup Incubator will continue developing the UII SIP & SHARE series as an open platform where startups can exchange practical experiences, explore emerging trends, and expand meaningful connections within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through these initiatives, UII seeks to foster a culture of lifelong learning, inspire innovation, and accompany startups on their journey toward sustainable growth.
These ongoing efforts also reflect UII Startup Incubator’s contribution to realizing UEH’s mission of advancing knowledge, developing high-quality human resources, pioneering innovation, and serving the community. By connecting startups with experts, industry partners, and innovation resources, UII aspires to strengthen a dynamic, collaborative, and globally connected startup ecosystem, contributing to UEH’s vision of becoming a multidisciplinary and sustainable university with a leading position in Asia.
